New Year’s Greetings

Happy New Year!
I sincerely appreciate your continued support in the last 6 months and hope you are staying healthy and safe even in the spread of COVID-19.

District 76 has created new recognitions such as Fantastic Five Award (Program Quality Award), plus five/one (+5/+1 Campaign page), and so on. Some clubs successfully received these awards in a difficult situation. However, some members might feel difficulties to get the result despite of the hard work.

In this case, I’d like to recommend you utilize Pathways Projects.

When I tried to strengthen the membership or charter a new club, these manuals helped me a lot. And I’m very sure you will be able to get some ideas about how to leap the next step.

“The goal is not to be perfect by the end. The goal is to be better tomorrow.”
– SIMON SINEK

You don’t need to be perfect. Enjoy your Toastmasters journeys. Wishing you all the best !

Submit Education Awards

I’d like to request Vice President Education to submit Education Awards after a member completes a level of Pathways. A club can achieve the Distinguished status by submitting them on Club Central of Toastmasters International Website. Even if a member completes a level or a path ,the dashboard will not change automatically.

I hope as many clubs as possible will be better tomorrow.

Announcements from Club Growth Director

Satomi Matoba, Club Growth Director

Greetings

Happy New Year! I know it is a little late to say so, but I wish you all good health and increased happiness for the new year. Thank you so much for your generous support for our organization in the midst of such difficult time.

Thanks to your efforts our district managed to celebrate the birth of six new active clubs, one reinstated club, and nine prospective clubs so far in this term. Also, the number of new members joining existing clubs finally exceeded 500, and nearly 30 percent of the district clubs have increased their membership. Eight out of twenty most grown clubs are small clubs with less than thirteen members. They show us that clubs can grow no matter how small they are or bound to meet only online if they excel in meeting quality and club management.

The winter with COVID-19 is hard, but flowers need cold winter to bloom in spring. Imagine cherry blossoms more beautiful than ever this year, and be united to endure this hardship.

Call for OPEN HOUSE in February and March

Open House project is now extended to March 31st.

New and second entries are invited. Clubs don’t need to provide a guest application form any longer. There is no requirement of a minimal number of guests to hold an open house. Date, time, and venue information are sufficient to register a meeting.

Since we advertise a list of open house meetings I strongly recommend all clubs to get their meetings listed as soon as possible to maximize the number of participants. Please send your club’s open house information to your Area Director who is in charge of registration.
