Japan Toastmasters’ Head Features in NHK’s Contemporary Business English Magazine

-Discusses how Toastmasters can improve presentation and persuasion skills

TOKYO, JAPAN, March 13, 2021 —The Japan Representative for Toastmasters International, a public speaking and leadership organization with 350,000 members worldwide, Yusuke Ohashi, is featured in the Spring edition of NHK’s Contemporary Business English magazine discussing how Toastmasters provides people with a practical environment to learn English business presentation and persuasion skills in a friendly atmosphere.

The magazine, authored by Satoshi Sugita who is the long-running presenter of the NHK Radio English Course, is published by NHK Publications Inc. today.

Toastmasters Ohashi, a management consultant, discusses his own experiences with public speaking as an exchange student at Cambridge University and how it spurred him to join Toastmasters upon his return to Japan 10 years ago. Toastmasters has more than 200 clubs in Japan where members can polish their speaking and leadership skills in English, Japanese, Italian, French, Chinese and Korean.

NHK’s Sugita has been a lecturer for the NHK Radio English Course for 33 years and has authored books on practical English use for business.
