Welcome to Miyazaki Toastmasters Club.
Our motto is “A Fun, Comfortable, Productive, and Supportive Place for Everyone”. We don’t have many members, but we hold our meetings in a friendly, casual atmosphere. We were fortunate enough to be ranked first in the nation for growing membership from 10 to 15 (in the 12 and under club category) for the first half of 2020.
The meetings are conducted in entirely in English. All participants of the day are told in advance the theme of the season or topic of the day. They prepare and present a short, one-minute speech. One of the attractive features of our meetings is that you can try out various speeches on different topics. The impromptu speeches have a different theme each time. It’s a fun atmosphere with lots of laughter, and at the same time, it’s an opportunity to practice your speaking skills.
In each meeting, one to two members will also present a speech on a theme that goes along with each program. At the end of each meeting, there is also feedback. Our goal is to improve our public speaking and leadership skills throughout the meeting, but it is very important for us that everyone has a good time. For those who are new to the club, experienced members are ready to help.
Nowadays, more and more people are looking for opportunities to use English, so please feel free to join us as a guest first.
