Toastmasters International, an international non-profit organization that enables people to cultivate their communication and leadership skills, is proud to announce that the 2019 Annual Conference will be held between Friday, May 10th and Sunday May 12th. Toastmasters from nearly 200 clubs across Japan as well as anyone else interested can participate in the various educational programs available. Moreover, selected Toastmasters will compete in a speech contest to determine the national champion in English and Japanese.

The theme for 2019 conference is “YOU”, with the subtitle:

“You are the leader of your life. Which door will you open tomorrow?”

The Conference Chair, Ms. Sumiko Futana, encourages participation as follows: “Living in the world with dynamic and constant changes, it is critically important to have leadership and communication skills together with the courage to move us forward in order to create a new path of life and be of help to others. We hope that you will meet many leaders in the Educational Programs of 2019 Annual Conference and acquire the power and courage to open a door that will lead you to new tomorrow.”

This conference is planned and delivered by the members of Division D (East Tokyo, Chiba and Ibaraki prefectures) and the supporting volunteers.

Anyone interested in their improving communication and leadership skills are welcome.
